Saw a Fiat Toro in the US. No SR20 because I was driving, but it was heading north on I-85 about 20 miles into SC from GA. Apparently a black one was spotted with manufacturer plates not too long ago. I didn’t see the tags on this, so my first guess is Mexican tourists. I’ve seen a few neat cars with Mexican plates before (a Hiace and Amarok, most notably) so it’s not too ridiculous to assume.
I also saw a 458 Speciale in red with the blue/white stripe, a white Ford GT (2005 era), and a matte pearl white Huracan. Also a yellow Ferrari Dougmobile.
This stretch of 85 is a good one for car spotting.

Where into SC did you go? I’m near Lexington.

The Toro is only sold in Mercosul markets (Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Venezuela) so isn’t sold in Mexico, so either you saw a car that travelled a looong way or a FCA test car.

I see a City Jetta with Mexican consulate plates around occasionally, but that’s about it.

I’m in Anderson for the week. Off-site work training.

I think you confused the Toro (a Brazilian developed truck) with the Tipo (a Italian/Turkish developed sedan), which is the base of the Neon.
But you brought out a interesting fact. The Toro is probably only going to be sold in Mexico/US after it gets the RAM treatment and becomes the Rampage.

Wish I could enjoy the roads, but I’m here in a big old van with dry-rotted tires. It is a cool area, though! Some great restaurants around here and Greenville.
